Our 2025 Boxes of Love Event was a success!
Thanks to our incredible partners, donors, volunteers, and staff, this past Thanksgiving was a truly impactful and memorable experience for so many families.
Our annual Boxes of Love Thanksgiving Food Drive was a meaningful and impactful initiative that brought hope, nourishment, and encouragement to families in the Sunset Park community. Through this effort, more than 120 families received Thanksgiving food boxes filled with essential groceries and holiday staples, ensuring they were able to prepare a warm and dignified meal during the holiday season.
Boxes of Love was more than a food drive—it was an expression of care and solidarity with families facing food insecurity. Each box represented generosity, compassion, and the collective effort of volunteers, donors, and community partners who came together to serve their neighbors. For many families, this support helped ease financial strain during a time of year that can be especially challenging.
The success of the Boxes of Love Food Drive highlights the power of community collaboration and the continued need for food assistance programs in Sunset Park. By meeting both practical needs and offering encouragement, this initiative strengthened families and reinforced the message that they are seen, valued, and supported. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this Thanksgiving a season of hope and abundance for so many.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors, sponsors, and community partners for their generosity and commitment—especially CRU, St. John’s Bread and Life, Verrazano Rotary Club, Antonio Reynoso Borough Park President, Andrew S. Gounardes NYS Senator- District 26, and Zion Church. None of this would have been possible without you.
All the generous food that was donated to Children of the City and distributed to the families!! Thank you all so much!!
