New York Giants Special Teams superstar David Tyree visited the classrooms of the Create Success program at Children of the City on March 10, 2008. “COC is rare in their aggressive approach. This organization has the wisdom and know-how to continue to break cycles of poverty, depravation, and lack of education” said Tyree.
David visited each classroom, taking time to learn each child’s name, ask about their progress, and even read to the children. Afterwards, David and his wife Leilah and their newborn twins, spent personal time with Founder and Executive Director, Joyce Mattera and her family, talking about children, sports, and continuing to ensure the long-term success of Children of the City.
