Our yearly Family Holiday session was held on Saturday, December 16th, and thanks to contributions of all our wonderful partners, the burden that many struggling parents carry during this time was alleviated, making for a more joyous and bright holiday season for all. We are thankful for the added benefit that St. John’s Bread and Life supplied with the boxes of food, as many of our families need this extra help during this time of year. Thanks to Periel Aschenbrand and Danielle Kilarjan and their network of moms we were also able to provide some much needed staples that many of us take for granted such as diapers, wipes, and ointments. These resources help to further our connection with these families and lift some of the burden of poverty during Christmas. Happy Family Brands provided healthy snacks for all during the event. We are overjoyed to have such a generous partnerships, including New York Cares, Brianna’s Salon, and Synergy, so not one child was left without a gift, and so many received precisely what they needed. We were especially grateful to have added support this year from Inside Edition and the staff of Good Morning America, who came to our site to help wrap and distribute gifts. What a blessing!
