David Tyree Charity Bowl June 4, 2013

The 2013 David Tyree Charity Bowl proved to be a fun-filled evening thanks in large part to the support of the New York Giants players in attendance and the wonderful guests that came out to support the mission of Children of the City. Laughter and the sound of pins being struck down filled the venue as Giants players circulated and bowled with guests throughout the evening. Hosted by Children of the City Board Member and former Giants player, David Tyree, the evening featured a silent and live auction as well as opportunities to win a diamond valued at $5000 and enjoy an elaborate array of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

“We were delighted to once again partner with the New York Giants for the second year in a row. It was a wonderful opportunity to address the insurmountable challenges facing these children.” said Joyce Mattera, Founder and President of Children of the City. “There is a 48% dropout rate in the area and 1 out of 4 families are living at or below the poverty level. With the backing and generosity of our supporters, Children of the City is dedicated to changing the culture of poverty.”
